Pleasant Grove Elementary School teacher Dominique Martin and her father Patrick Preudhomme built a Little Free Library at the school. The cabinet-like structure is called “Burton’s Book Barn,” in honor of Lynnetta Burton, who is retiring after 38 years at the school. Families can come by any time to pick out books to read at home, or add their own favorite books for others to read. It will be stocked throughout the summer to allow students to continue reading outside of school. The global book-sharing movement was founded in 2009 and has since inspired all over the world to build these miniature libraries and share their love of reading.
