Sixteen Alamance County students have been selected to attend Governor’s School this summer:

Lindsay Bailey, Southern Alamance High School — math;

Mary Bennett, Western Alamance High School — English;

Joy Bousumo, Western Alamance High School — social science;

Nikki Brooks,
Southern Alamance High School — English;

Abby Chester, Western Alamance High School — natural science;

Ty Cryan,
Williams High School — social science;

Madison Grajzar,
Western Alamance High School — natural science;

Sloane Hovey,
Western Alamance High School — choral music (alto 1);

Ian Jones,
Eastern Alamance High School — instrumental music (percussion);

William Lee,
Western Alamance High School — social science;

Deysi Morales Magadan,
ABSS Early College at Alamance Community College — math;

Ben McCormick, Southern Alamance High School — English;

Ben Nguyen,
Williams High School — math;

Natalie Oliver,
Eastern Alamance High School — dance;

Claire Piatte, Western Alamance High School — dance; and

Macie Smith,
Southern Alamance High School — dance.

The residential program runs mid-June through July at High Point University and Meredith College in Raleigh.
