Alamance-Burlington school nurses will train teachers and other staff members how to respond to medical emergencies Wednesday, June 12, and Thursday, June 13. As of June 7, more than 350 participants had signed up. Topics are how to administer CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator, how to recognize the signs of anaphylaxis and use stock epinephrine, and how to control bleeding. Past training has saved students’ lives, according to ABSS, which is why the system encourages all school personnel to learn these skills.
