ABSS Family University- Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, 5:00-7:00 @ Cummings High School
We are excited about our upcoming Family University. Click here for the flyer that you can place on your website and begin advertising to your families. This will be the last one for the year, and we want a great turnout. There are lots of great sessions that can support students, but we need to get the parents to the table. More information is coming after the year. We will provide flyers for your doors upon our return! |
Grades 4 and 5 Only- Field Trip Alert!- NC, Outer Banks Field Trip Interest Meeting-
Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, 5:30-6:30 pm in the Media Center. I am super excited to announce that we have been approved to bring back a great opportunity for our fourth and fifth graders. Our school will have a chance to visit the NC Outer Banks and many of its historical attractions. We will have a parent interest meeting, where parents will get the details of the trip. There will also be a make-up session via Google Meet on Friday, Feb. 2 @ 6:00 pm; a link will be shared on the class dojo at a later date.
It is time for our teachers to celebrate the academic achievements of their students! On Wednesday, Jan 31, 2024, our teachers will be recognizing some of our students for their attendance and academic successes. This will be a quick celebration during the day. Parents, please look for some students to come home with well-earned awards and certificates. Parents if you want to be in attendance for the events; I have listed the times below; this is just a reminder that ceremonies will only last about 35 minutes:

We’re Going on A Field Trip!
Our Kindergarteners will be visiting the Miriam P. Brenner Children’s Museum in Greensboro NC- Thursday, February 1, 2024. Click here to see the parent letter. A hard copy of the parent letter and permission slips will be sent home this week. Permission slips must be signed and returned by Feb. 1.
In partnership with Alamance-Burlington School System, Elon University will once again host the local elementary school students in grades 3-5 on Elon Education Day, Friday, Feb. 2, 2024. Our students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will attend the women’s basketball game: Elon Women’s Basketball vs. Northern Eastern! There will be no cost to students. We will leave campus by 9:30 am and return by 2:00 pm. Permission slips must be signed and returned by Feb. 2, 2024.
