ABSS School Nutrition operates under the Federal Program for the National School Lunch and National School Breakfast. A USDA requirement for all schools in this program is to increase lunch prices to ensure that sufficient funds are provided to the foodservice account for paid lunches. The Alamance-Burlington Board of Education recognizes that it is important for students to maintain their physical health and receive proper nutrition in order to take advantage of educational opportunities.
