Title I-Part C MEP

The mission of the Migrant Education Program is to help students of agricultural workers (and students who are agricultural workers) meet high academic challenges by overcoming the obstacles created by frequent moves, educational disruption, cultural and language differences, and health-related problems. Eligibility

The program serves children and youth who meet the following criteria:

1. Age 3-22;

2. Have not yet received a high school diploma or its equivalent;

3. Have moved into a school district within the last 36 months;

4. Whose parents, guardians, spouses, or selves have moved to obtain or seek seasonal or temporary work in agricultural production or fisheries;

5. This work in agriculture or fisheries provides a principal means of livelihood for the worker and family.
