The Hawfields Middle School Combined Choir, directed by Mrs. Aria Westbrook, attended the NC Central District Music Performance Adjudication (MPA) on Friday March 8th, 2024. The choir was supported by accompanist, Ms. Eileen Penn (N. Graham Elementary), ABSS Curriculum Specialist, Ms. Jennifer Wells, and families of HMS Chorus students. MPA requires rigorous preparation and is comparable to an EOG/ EOC for musical performing ensembles. Hawfields Middle School Combined Choir received Superior Ratings for both Performance and Sight Singing Demonstrations (averaged rating of 96% from all adjudicators). Congratulations to ALL members of the Hawfields Middle School Chorus for this outstanding demonstration of musicianship, collaboration, and achievement.
