As summer winds down, excitement is building for the upcoming fall athletic season in our district. Effective this fall, our district is implementing a new ticket sales structure for all middle and high school athletic events.
Regular Season Tickets (Non-Conference & Conference Contests) |
---|
Middle School: $6.00 |
High School: $10.00 |
Senior TarHeel Cards: Half-Price Ticket ($3 Middle School | $5 High School) |
Accepted Passes: NCHSAA Passes & ABSS Employee Badge |
We believe this new system will help schools manage expenses more efficiently and ensure the long-term sustainability of our diverse athletic programs.
“The rising costs associated with equipment, facility maintenance, transportation, and officials have created financial challenges for athletic departments district wide,” explained Todd Davis, ABSS Director of Athletics. “This adjustment to our ticket structure, along with other initiatives, is a necessary step to help us continue providing top athletic experiences for our student athletes and maintain the quality of programs for years to come.”
A significant conference realignment has placed most of our district’s schools in the same athletic conference. This means more opportunities for our teams to compete against familiar foes and build on local rivalries.
“Having all seven Alamance County teams in the same conference is incredible for our student athletes, families, and fans,” says Stephanie Smith, Athletic Director at Southern Alamance High School. “There is something special about local high school teams going head-to-head. It's more than games. It becomes traditions, community pride, and rivalries that create lasting memories and stories that are told for years.”
Now more than ever, we’re calling on our community to show up and cheer loud for our athletes this fall! Your presence at games makes a difference for our student, and gives them energy they can feed off of to perform their best.
“The student athletes elevate their game when they have a crowd. It makes for an incredible atmosphere and the athletes feed off of that. It makes them feel special and valued when they can look to the stands and see their classmates, friends, family, etc. High school sports are all about community. It feels as though you are representing something more than yourself or your team. The athletes want to perform for the fans and show off all that they have worked so hard for,” shared Camden Brooks, Head Coach for Men's and Women's Soccer at Western Alamance High School.
