Save the Date! 🗓️ Join us for a fun and informative evening at the last Family University of the year, January 29th at Cummings High School! 🌟 A light dinner will be provided at no cost to families before you choose from many useful sessions on topics like registering for high school courses, career and technical education opportunities, and elementary reading and math strategies. Several sessions will also be available in Spanish (Algunas sesiones también estarán disponibles en español.) Childcare will be available for children from Pre-K to 5th grade, so the whole family can participate. The Family University is a great chance to get helpful information while connecting with other families and teachers. We will be utilizing Classroom Dojo this year for our most up-to-date communications. Please update the app and make sure that you are connected to Garrett for this upcoming year.
Meet the Teacher for 1st-5th grades will be on August 24th from 4:00-6:00 (floating). Please plan to come to Garrett with your Gator and meet your child's teacher, visit their classroom, drop off school supplies, determine bus information, sign up for PTO, complete lunch applications, and other school resources will be available. We can't wait to see all of our 1st-5th graders during this floating event.

Kindergators will have staggered entry August 28th-August 31st (post cards will be mailed with the date your child is to attend) and everyone will come for their first official day on September 1st.
Please make sure that all families of current Garrett students have gone into the Powerschool Portal and updated all information and forms for the 2023-2024 school year.
As a reminder that school lunch applications must be completed each year. Students who qualified last year, do not automatically qualify, so make sure that you have completed your school lunch application for the 2023-2024 school year online or we have paper copies at the school. We are excited to invite you to our 2nd semester Gator Gathering Assembly tomorrow Friday, June 9th in the school’s gymnasium. We will be recognizing students for some of their accomplishments during the second half of the year and some of our students will be performing a song during the assembly. We hope to see you there!

We are looking forward to celebrating students accomplishments tomorrow along with the last day of school.
Parents just a reminder that tomorrow, June 9th, is an early release day and the last day of school. Students will dismiss at 11:35 AM. There will be NO Gator Island. Please make sure that your child's teacher knows how he/she will be going home tomorrow, if it is different from a typical dismissal.
