Good afternoon,

This is Principal Suzanne Simpson with your weekly updates. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and mom-like figures in our students' lives.  I hope your weekend has been great!  Thank you to those of you who helped shower our teachers with appreciation this past week as we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week.  Nurse’s Appreciation Day was also in the mix last week and we want to say a big thank you to Nurse Garrett for everything she does for our school!

Seniors:  If you haven’t completed this survey please do so today.  Also, please check out this presentation for the latest end of year information.  If you have questions, reach out to Mrs. Simpson or Ms. Crouse.

Athletics:  Our women’s soccer team will host the opening round of the NCHSAA playoffs tomorrow night at 6:00.  Make plans to come out to support them!  Our lacrosse team will travel to Jacksonville High School to play in the first round of the state playoffs while our softball team will travel to Southern Nash for the 3rd round of the state playoffs.  Also, good luck to Davontia Clark and Samuel Raphael as they take part in the State Track Meet this Friday.

Update Your Address:  As we make the transition from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus Next year it is important to ensure that your address is correct.  Please take a moment to log into PowerSchool and update your address.  Make sure if you have a lot number or apartment number it is included.

Green & Gold’n Globes:  We will have a year-end athletics banquet for ALL student-athletes, coaches, and parents. on May 29th!  The event will start with refreshments in the gymnasium at 6:00 pm followed by an awards ceremony in the auditorium at approximately 6:45 pm.  This is a time for us to celebrate all that our EA sports teams have accomplished.  Individual awards will be given for each team in addition to 15 school wide awards and we will recognize all conference athletes, sportsmanship winners, and 3 sport athletes.  Show up in your dress attire, walk the red carpet and let’s celebrate! Make plans now to attend!

AP Exam Schedule:  We will continue AP exams this week. If you are an AP student, please take a look at the schedule.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Carriker.
