Bulldog Bark

Good Evening Williams Community

As we enter the season of Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who help make it possible for our Bulldogs to succeed! Special thanks to our teachers, parents, and Bulldog community. We are grateful for you!

Here are the announcements for the short week ahead...

  1. Monday, November 21, we will be hosting an admissions representative from Yale University in Ms. Seeuwen's room, Rm 329, at 12:45 PM, during lunch. On Tuesday, November 22, we will be hosting an admissions representative from East Carolina University at 10:15 AM, during 2nd period, in Coach McGill's room, Rm 226. This will be a great opportunity to learn about ECU, and is open to juniors and seniors. Please note that students must have teacher permission beforehand to attend, as students without permission may be marked for skipping.
  2. Parking Reminder- Please do not  park in “No Parking” zones or in front of people’s residence. Vehicles can be ticketed through the City of Burlington and/or towed. We are initially looking for compliance.
  3.  On Tuesday, November 29th 12th grade CTE concentrators will take the Workkeys assessment at Williams. Once students take the assessment and their scores are returned, they receive a certificate based on their scores. Earning silver, gold, or platinum helps students to be distinguished once they apply for jobs or colleges since the skills on the test are used in many different careers. Students attended a session at school on Friday, November 18th when they learned what the assessment is and why it is important. Please encourage your child to be here on that day. Students can use the act.org link provided (here and in the presentation shared with students) to see what the test looks like and practice. Link: https://www.act.org/content/ac...
  4.  Make plans to attend the Winter Masquerade Semi-formal on Friday December 2nd from 7 - 10pm in the WWHS gym. Come dressed to impress and ready to dance. Soft soled shoes preferred on the gym floor. Masks should be decorative and not scary. Hot chocolate and dessert bar will be available. Cost $10 per person. Williams' students only.
