We are so excited to welcome our newest 🐾 Tiger Cubs! Kindergarten is an exciting beginning, and we look forward to partnering with you to make your child’s first year of school a happy, successful, and memorable one.
Below you will find important information to help your family prepare for the first days of kindergarten.
📅 Staggered Entry
Kindergarten students will attend school for one assigned staggered entry day:
Monday, August 24th
Tuesday, August 25th
Wednesday, August 26th
Please check your postcard for your child’s assigned date.
On your child’s staggered entry day:
Arrival is from 7:30–7:50 AM. All students will come in through the front door at the main entrance.
Parents are welcome to walk their child into the building on this day.
Students arriving after 7:50 AM will be considered tardy.
🏫 Meet the Teacher
Wednesday, August 26th at 4:30-6:00 PM
As we wrap up staggered entry, families are invited to join us for Meet the Teacher!
This is a great opportunity to:
Meet your child’s kindergarten teacher
Visit the classroom
Drop off school supplies
Ask any last-minute questions before the first full day
🌟 Thursday, August 27th - First Full Day!
Thursday, August 27th is the first day of regular attendance for all kindergarten students.
Arrival: 7:30 AM
School Begins: 7:50 AM
Dismissal: 2:35 PM
On the first full day, please plan for your child to walk into the building independently. Our staff will be ready to welcome students and help them find their classrooms.
We know this can be a big moment for both children and parents! Our Tiger Cub team will be here to help make the transition smooth, welcoming, and positive.
🚗 Arrival & Car Rider Procedures
Safety is our top priority! Before the first day, please take a few minutes to review our Car Rider Traffic Pattern so you are familiar with how our car rider line operates.
Please complete the Kindergarten Transportation Form so that we are aware of how your child will go home on their assigned staggered day and normally.
Important for Staggered Entry:
If you plan to walk your child into the building, you must still enter through the car rider line to access the parking lot.
If you plan to walk your child into the building, please refer to the information on our website about the OpenGate Weapons Detection System.
During staggered entry, families will receive a car tag. Please be sure that this tag is displayed when picking up your child through the car rider line. If a parent or other individual picking up your child comes through the car rider line without a tag, they will be directed to the holding area (bus parking lot). They will need to wait until the end of dismissal to come to the front office where they will have to present ID For student safety, ID is required. The person picking up the student must be listed on the student information form before the student will be released.
