This October, our Capturing Kids’ Hearts focus is Self-Direction: Think. Choose. Act. Students will learn to pause and think about their choices, make responsible decisions, take ownership, stay focused, and take initiative. As we continue building on our September focus of empathy, we’ll help students understand that their choices not only shape their own success but also affect those around them.
Families can support this work at home by asking questions like, “What do you think you should do?” and “What is the responsible choice?” Together, we can empower our students to become confident, responsible, and independent learners.
