3rd-5th grade students will take their NC Check-ins on February 6-10. It is important that students attend school each day prepared with glasses and other needs for a positive testing experience. Please ensure that your child has a good night's sleep prior to their test days, arrives at school on time, and eats breakfast- either at home or at school. If your child is sick on a day of testing, we understand, but otherwise please make sure they are at school each day their grade level is involved in testing.

Today we had a practice emergency drill with the support of ABSS and the city of Burlington. This required us to practice evacuating the building and loading buses in case of a real situation that would have required us to leave campus. Staff and students did a wonderful job and all went well. We appreciate the support of the district staff and emergency services of Burlington and Alamance County. Your children were true leaders today!

ABSS ALERT: Alamance Co. Emergency Services will be conducting a training exercise around Andrews and CTEC tomorrow (2/1/23). You will likely see law enforcement, emergency personnel, and experience additional traffic in the area. This is just training, do not be alarmed.

Parents of bus riders,
Please be aware that all buses will be running their morning routes later than normal from this point on. This means your child's bus will arrive at the bus stop later than they normally do. Please be patient as this process is put in place. Communicate with your child's bus driver as you can to determine an estimated time for their new arrival time. This is being put in place to assist with the middle and high school routes.
