The following are items that a student should bring to school daily.
During Open House, our teachers may share additional supply lists specific to the course they’re teaching.
Bookbag: A sturdy and comfortable backpack is essential for carrying books, notebooks, and other supplies. Consider one with padded straps and multiple compartments for organization.
Binder System:
One or two 1 or 2-inch, 3-ring binders: Students might prefer one larger binder for all classes or two smaller ones.
Tab dividers: These are crucial for organizing notes and handouts by subject within the binder(s).
Laptops & Chargers:
School-issued laptops and chargers should come to school each day. Students are responsible for ensuring they do not become damaged.
Writing & Note-Taking:
College-ruled loose-leaf paper: This is a daily necessity for notes, assignments, and in-class work.
Pens: A variety of blue or black pens for everyday writing.
Pencils: Essential for math, science, and any work where mistakes need to be erased.
Highlighters (multi-color pack): Useful for emphasizing key information in textbooks, notes, and handouts.
Organization & Study Aids:
Wired Headphones: Necessary for computer lab activities, listening to educational videos, or working independently without disturbing others. Southern Alamance's new wireless communication policy does NOT allow for wireless headphones.
Optional (But Highly Recommended) Additions:
Planner or Agenda: Helps students keep track of assignments, deadlines, and extracurricular activities.
Index cards/Notecards (3x5 or 4x6): Great for creating flashcards, quick notes, and studying.
Refillable Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is important throughout the school day.
