BURLINGTON, NC | The Alamance-Burlington School System will host its annual High School Options Fair, Saturday, October 3, 2026. Attendees will have an exciting opportunity to explore the wide range of educational pathways available to students in our district. This event is open to everyone, including students who are homeschooled, attend private or charter schools, or are not currently enrolled in the district. Families approaching the high school years will especially benefit from attending and getting an early start on planning for the future.
This fair is designed to help students and families discover the unique opportunities our high schools offer, including:
Public Safety, Teaching, Nursing, and other Career & Technical Education (CTE) Pathways – We offer hands-on programs that prepare students for successful careers.
Apprenticeship Opportunities & Certifications – ABSS students have the chance to earn credentials and gain real-world experience before they even graduate.
Advanced Placement (AP) & Honors Courses – Our students challenge themselves with rigorous academics and prepare for college-level coursework.
College Courses & Early College Options – ABSS graduates can get ahead by earning college credits while in high school, and explore the flexibility of dual enrollment.
At the fair, students and families will speak directly with teachers and support staff to ask questions and receive personalized guidance on navigating high school options.
