The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) will be offered at Western on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022 during 1st and 2nd blocks. This assessment is optional for students. It measures what they are learning in school, determines if they are on track, and opens doors for opportunities to prepare and pay for college. The test is open to all students in any grade level. For more information, visit the PSAT information page. The PSAT/NMSQT costs $18 for students to participate. If you are interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT but have questions or may need financial assistance, please contact our testing coordinator, Mr. Hemminger, at william_hemminger@abss.k12.nc.us If interested, students must register using the PSAT/NMSQT form and then pay the fee through the online school payment system no later than September 13th.
