This week is Say Something Week! The research shows that gun violence is preventable when you know the signs. Learn them; Act Immediately; Take it Seriously; Say Something. #SaySomethingWeek

Ninth Grade students from ABEC participated in the first annual TED Symposium last night on the Early College campus. Speeches ranged from how to shoot a basketball or yield a katana, to issues like dancer discrimination or the adverse effects of stereotyping. These Cobras conquered the daunting task of public speaking with preparation, enthusiasm, and confidence! #StudentCenteredFutureFocused

ABEC students had the chance to work on a Habitat House this morning. 🏠🔨 #girlpower 💪 #beautifulSaturday 🌤️

Having a blast at the Winter Semiformal!

“My life is a miracle." These are words often spoken by Meredith Doi’s great-grandmother, a holocaust survivor. Meredith is a sophomore at Early College and her mom, Courtney, visited her English 2 class to share the incredible story of the Veit Simon Family during World War II. As she shared moments of history from her grandmother’s perspective, Courtney passed around artifacts and photographs. Students made connections with the memoir they have been reading, Night by Elie Wiesel. #StudentCenteredFutureFocused

The deadline to apply to be a part of the next cohort of students at The Early College is tomorrow at 11:59. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!

That’s a wrap! #firstsemester #winterbreak
