Good Evening Parents! I am sure by now some kids have come home and told about my leaving today. i will be having surgery on 4-19 and will be away for about 6 weeks. Each of your children and their classes made me the most precious get well cards and banners that sent me to tears! I felt the love from each and everyone of them and will miss them abundantly. Please take the time to explain to your children that sometimes people need surgery to make things right and it makes people better. I have been very open with the students, when they ask, out of concern, why i was having surgery. I saw a few kids today and earlier that got visibly upset about my leaving and surgery. Please let them know that all will be well and I will be back to correct, laugh and love them even more! To all the parents that have reached out, thanks for all your concern and Prayers! Very much appreciated! Tell your kids i love them and will see them soon!

We are super excited to announce that Makayla Thompson will be our guest speaker for the 2022-23 5th Grade Moving Up ceremony at Pleasant Grove! Makayla is currently an honor student and athlete at Eastern Alamance High. She has excelled not only in the classroom but on the field and court; as a disc thrower and hybrid forward for the EAHS Lady Eagles Basketball team. Makayla also attended PGE as a child and we could not be more proud of the example she has set for our students.

It takes courage to be kind, a lesson these kids are taking to heart as part of the Kindness Club at @PGOwls! These acts of kindness can spread, lowering bullying rates and making a tremendous difference in the school climate. #ABSSDifferenceMakers https://youtu.be/giea-J70i8Q

Good Morning PGE Families: Please look at the attached image that defines Truancy, absences that are unexcused per the Compulsory Attendance Law, and Chronic Absences, absences both excused and unexcused, with emphasis on academic impact. As attendance is being monitored, some of our Owls have over 20 plus days of absences(chronic) with no correspondence to the school regarding the absences. Please be sure to reach out to the school and your child's teacher when there is an absence. Notes, preferably doctors, should be returned with your child upon his/her return.

Good Afternoon, PGE Families! On Friday, January 20th, bus 45 will not be running the normal morning route. Mr. Alston will be our only driver (bus 25), in addition to the regular late bus (346). Mr. Alston will be picking up students from buses 45 and 25 routes. Due to these routes being combined, times may be slightly off. Please have your child ready early and be patient with us. If you have already spoken to the front office about bringing your child to school, we appreciate your help. This message is for the morning route only. All afternoon drop off times will remain the same. Please call the front office at 336-421-3701 if you have any questions.
