Dr. Nancy Mark, Principal of Sylvan Elementary

Dr. Nancy Mark

Greetings Sylvan parents and community. It is my pleasure to serve as the new principal at Sylvan this school year. This is my 24th school year in education, and my 10th year in educational leadership. Prior to becoming a principal, I served as a human services counselor, school counselor, assistant principal and principal. I served as a human services counselor at Alamance/Caswell Area Mental Health, school counselor and counseling department chair at High Point Central High School in Guilford County Schools; a school counselor at SouthEast Randolph MIddle School in Randolph County Schools and Thomasville Middle School in Thomasville City Schools. I then served as an assistant principal at Rockingham County Middle School, Williamsburg Elementary School and principal at Douglass Elementary School...all in Rockingham County Schools. I received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bennett College; a masters degree in counseling education from North Carolina A & T State University, an add on licensure in school administration from HIgh Point University; and completed my doctorate in educational leadership from University of Phoenix.

Let's make it a great day to be a Blue Jay as we set the stage for the next generation of leaders.
