The Burlington Writers Club annual Student Writing Contest is open!
For almost 70 years, the Burlington Writers Club has sponsored an annual student contest. We are a dedicated group of local writers, many of whom found that initial spark at a young age. Please keep us in mind for future writing-related endeavors. Our group consists of playwrights, screenwriters, poets, novelists, essayists, short story writers, memoirists, with many talents in editing and publishing.
At-a-glance Guidelines:
· Deadline for grades 3-8: February 2, 2024
· New Extended Deadline for high school: March 1, 2024*
· Mail entries anytime between now and the deadline
· New Mailing Address: 213 S. Main St., Graham, NC 27253
· Grades 3-12
· Categories: fiction and poetry
· Winners in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention
· Awards Ceremony April 2024
