Bear Bryant, Principal

Hello, Warriors!

I am excited to start my third year as principal at Western Alamance High School. My educational journey began as a high school social studies teacher in Guilford County. After teaching in traditional and magnet settings, I began my administrative career in 2014. Before coming to Western, I served as the principal of Graham High School.

Family is extremely important to me and has helped shape my approach to working with children. My passion is working with high school students and helping them succeed in all aspects of their development. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with the wonderful educators at Western High, as well as our students, parents, and community members, to continue our strong tradition of excellence. Thank you for your support and for trusting us to educate your children. I’m looking forward to a great year for our students and staff in 2024-2025. We are WA!

I am excited to be joining the Western family this school year!

I started my teaching career in Guilford County as an Exceptional Children’s teacher. After moving to ABSS I worked as EC teacher, MTSS Lead and School Instructional Specialist before having the opportunity to join the administrative team at Western.

I received my bachelor’s degree from UNCG, my master’s degree in Special Education from Elon University, and my administrative degree from Gardner Webb University.

I look forward to this school year and the opportunity to build relationships with the Warrior staff, students and families.
