Daughters of Battle of Alamance Chapter, National Society Daughters of the Revolution (NSDAR) held their Good Citizen Award ceremony Saturday at the Historic Woodlawn School.

 The Good Citizens award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. These students are selected by their teachers because they demonstrate these qualities to an outstanding degree.

This program is only open to high-school seniors.

The following ABSS students were recognized:

2nd place: Kaylen Mae Breeze, Walter M. Williams HS. 
3rd place: Fernanda Velazquez Orozco, ABSS Early College @ ACC

In addition to the winners, the following were chosen to participate in the Good Citizen Award:

Essay Honorees: Christen J McAdoo (Graham HS); Shea K Kirkpatrick (Southern Alamance HS); Benjamin Salvatore (Eastern Alamance HS)

Non-essay Honorees: Jennifer Figueroa-Bahena (Alamance Virtual School); Connor B Chinnici (Western Alamance HS)
