The Alamance-Burlington School System Board of Education accepted Superintendent Dr. Dain Butler’s resignation Monday morning effective Monday, March 4, 2024.
“The Board and Dr. Butler have reached an agreement to provide for the orderly and amicable transition from his service as Superintendent,” said Sandy Ellington-Graves, Board Chair.
The Board wishes Dr. Butler all the best in his future endeavors. We are committed to continue the progress of ABSS and will begin the important work of identifying a new leader.
In a separate resolution the board named Chief Student Services Officer Dr. Kristy Davis as the acting ABSS Superintendent.
