The Alamance-Burlington School System announces Ms. Goldie Ricks as the new Assistant Principal at Graham High School. Ms. Ricks brings extensive educational leadership experience to her new role, having most recently served as an MTSS Interventionist with Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools. Her diverse experience spans multiple districts including Guilford County Schools, where she served as CTE Lead Teacher/ESOL Program Coordinator/Tutor Coordinator, and she has held leadership positions at both K-12 and higher education levels.
Ms. Ricks holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Winston Salem State University, a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and a Master of School Administration from North Carolina Central University. Her comprehensive educational background includes extensive coursework in instructional leadership, data analysis, curriculum development, and culturally responsive leadership. Her professional achievements include serving as Assistant Principal Intern with Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools, College Lift Coordinator at Forsyth Technical Community College where she managed over 40 employees, and CTE Business Teacher/District Coordinator at Ben L. Smith High School where she taught IB Business Management courses.
Ms. Ricks brings a unique combination of classroom teaching experience across elementary, middle, and high school levels, administrative leadership, and community college instruction. Her expertise in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), curriculum development, and data-driven decision making will be invaluable assets to Graham High School. Additionally, her military service as a Nutrition Care Specialist Soldier in the United States Army Reserves demonstrates her commitment to service and leadership excellence.
