The Alamance-Burlington School System family recently gathered to extend its deepest gratitude, admiration, and warmest wishes to our 2025-2026 retirees. This extraordinary group of educators, administrators, and support staff members has committed decades of hard work, passion, and care to shaping the future of Alamance County.
Together, this year’s retiring class represents an astonishing 1,659.61 combined years of dedicated service to our children, schools, and community.
To our retirees: You have left an indelible mark on thousands of lives. As you turn the page to this next exciting chapter, may all your years ahead be filled with the rich rewards of good health, vibrant joy, and continued success.
A Community Celebration
The beautiful Retirement Celebration was held at Southeast Alamance High School and was meticulously organized by the ABSS Human Resources Team, with a special mention to Roberta Powell for her coordination and dedication to making the evening unforgettable.
An event of this scale truly takes a village, and we extend our sincere appreciation to the many students and staff members who lent their talents to honor our retirees:
Host Venue: Special thanks to Southeast Alamance High School for providing the perfect space for our celebration.
Catering: The delicious food was prepared and served by the incredibly talented CTEC Culinary Arts students.
Music: A beautiful atmosphere was set by the elegant performances of the Cummings High School Orchestra Ensemble.
Decorations: The lovely green ferns gracing the tables were provided by the Western High FFA, and the stunning floral arrangements were provided by the Southern High FFA.
