The ABSS Board of Education along with Superintendent Dr. Dain Butler named three new Assistant Principals following Tuesday's work session. 

Jalanda Allen, former ABSS Interventionist and classroom teacher at Andrews Elementary, was named the new Assistant Principal at Newlin Elementary.  Allen earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from High Point University in 2018.  

Former STEM Teacher and Administrative Intern at Graham Middle, Jacob Fleming is the new Assistant Principal at Turrentine Middle.  Fleming has worked in the District since 2015 in various capacities including teacher and coach.  He earned his Master’s in Executive Leadership from Gardner-Webb University in 2019.  

Assistant Principal at Turrentine Middle Joseph Lamanna was named new AP at Graham High School.  Prior to working in ABSS, Lamanna was a teaching and learning coach in Durham County and taught Social Studies in both Guilford and Orange counties.  Lamanna is also a graduate of Gardner Webb’s Educational Leadership program earning a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership Studies.
