Please remember the importance of daily attendance and arriving on time so students don’t miss valuable instruction. Encourage your child to come ready to learn, give their best effort, and show positive character throughout the week.

As we begin the third week of March, we continue focusing on our CKH character trait of Courage. Courage means doing the right thing even when it is difficult, trying new things, and standing up for others. Throughout the week, teachers will continue to encourage students to show courage in their learning by asking questions, persevering through challenges, and supporting their classmates.
We also want to remind families that there will be no school on Thursday, March 19. We hope everyone enjoys the day and takes time to relax and recharge.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to help our students grow both academically and socially.

Al comenzar la tercera semana de marzo, seguimos enfocándonos en nuestro rasgo de carácter CKH: la Valentía. We are excited to launch our All Hands on Deck campaign! We know that when students are in class, they are building the habits, relationships, and confidence they need to thrive. As we sail towards the end of the school year, we’ve set our sights on improved attendance district-wide! Every school has created incentives and celebrations for hitting this target! 🎯
Facts on Attendance:
📉 Missing just 2 days per month can cause a student to fall behind academically.
🎓 Strong attendance is the #1 predictor of reading at grade level and graduating on time.
🤝 Being in school every day builds the routines and social connections that help students succeed.
How Families Can Help:
✅ Set consistent bedtime and morning routines.
✅ Prepare backpacks and clothes the night before for a smooth start.
✅ Schedule appointments outside of school hours whenever possible.
