Mr. Price and Ms. Allen are ready to take on a new school year after participating in a two day Leadership Retreat with other Principals and Assistant Principals in the district. The theme was Operation: Mission: Student Success.
Today we had a Popsicle and Book Giveaway, where some of our staff and Newlin Partnership volunteers assisted with giving out popsicles and books in different areas of the community, as well as at the school. It was great to see so many of our students and their families today!

There will be no school Monday, May 26, 2025 in observance of Memorial Day. We will see everyone back on Tuesday, May 27th.
This is a reminder: EOG testing will begin tomorrow for 3rd-5th grade students. The schedule for testing is attached. Please be sure students arrive to school on time each day. Once testing begins, students will not be able to enter their classroom until testing is complete.
Don't forget: Field Day will be tomorrow, Friday, May 16th. ACC & 3rd-5th will be from 8:30 am-11:00 am. Pre-K & Kindergarten-2nd will be from 11:45 am-2:15 pm. Parents/guardians are welcome to join us, but please be sure to sign in with the front office.
Newlin Cici's night has been cancelled tonight due to Cici's overbooking. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will keep you updated if we are able to reschedule before the end of the school year.
Newlin will have it's last skate night of the year tonight, Tuesday, April 29th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. There will be a $5 entry fee, which will be cash only. We hope you can join us!
3rd-5th grade students will be taking the NC Check-Ins Assessment beginning Wed. Apr. 30-Tues. May 6. Please be sure students arrive to school on time.
Newlin had it's annual Autism Awareness Walk on Saturday! The weather was beautiful and we had a great turn out. We appreciate the continued support from staff, families, and the community!

Kindergarten Orientation will be held at Newlin on Thursday, April 24th from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. At this orientation you will meet our kindergarten teachers, learn a bit about the kindergarten curriculum, and complete registration steps. If you have a rising Kindergarten student, we hope to see you!
Spring picture day will be on Wednesday, April 23rd.
Tomorrow, Monday, April 21st is a teacher workday. We will see everyone back on Tuesday, April 22nd.
Spring break will be April 14-21. Students will return to school on Tuesday, April 22nd. We hope everyone enjoys some time away from school and come back refreshed and ready to finish the school year strong.
