We are proud to announce the 2024 ABSS Teachers of the Year! 🌟
These exceptional teachers are making a real difference in their students' lives. They care deeply about their students’ growth and success every day. Whether helping a struggling learner find their confidence, making lessons fun through imaginative activities, or supporting students through life's challenges, their student-first commitment is worthy of praise.
Please join us in celebrating them! 👏

Join us tonight on our Newlin Facebook Page at 6:30 pm for our first Fireside Chat. The QR code is attached. We will be using this page to celebrate the great things happening at Newlin!!

What a fun night we had last night at our "Wild About Reading Night!" We would like to thank everyone, especially our guest community readers and families who came out to support Newlin! We enjoyed a night of listening to stories, playing bingo, and eating some pizza!

There was an unforgettable "wild" reading extravaganza last night at the Harvey R. Newlin Elementary (follow their new official page!) "Wild About Reading Night" event!
Students and families enjoyed hearing stories from special guest readers like Superintendent Dr. Butler, Ben Briscoe from WFMY News 2, May Memorial Library readers, Elon University students, and Newlin staff.
In addition to storytelling adventures, there was food and "book bingo" in the cafeteria, with a chance to win some book-themed prizes. Thank you to all our amazing guest readers and families for making this community celebration of reading with Newlin so special! 📚🎉
