Arrival & Dismissal Alert

Blue Jay Families — AM Arrival & PM Dismissal Reminders

Families, we need your help keeping arrival and dismissal safe, smooth, and moving efficiently for everyone. Please review these important reminders:

Please view the alternate map route below. After speaking with the Highway Patrol, using 1 of 2 alternate routes to enter the car rider line is the safest plan for all Blue Jays.

Alternate Route

🌅 AM ARRIVAL — READY TO EXIT!

As you turn into the driveway in front of the school, please make sure your child is READY TO EXIT:

  • 👟 Shoes are

    on

  • 🎒 Bookbag and lunchbox are

    in their lap or hands

  • 🚗 Seatbelt is

    unbuckled

  • 📱 Tablets/devices are

put away and taken by the adult before entering the drive

  • 🚪 Students should be prepared to

open and close their own car door

Our staff will remain nearby and along the sidewalk to ensure students move safely into the building.

Having a hard morning? We’ve got you! 💙 If your child is struggling to exit the car or needs a little extra assistance, please pull all the way forward past the mailbox, in front of the buses, and an adult will come to assist you. This allows us to support your child while keeping the arrival line moving safely.

⏰ ARRIVAL ENDS AT 7:50 AM

Our traffic director will get behind the last vehicle in the arrival line at 7:50 AM. This vehicle will mark the end of our morning car-rider line.

If you enter the line after 7:50 AM, you will be asked to park and come inside to sign your child in as tardy.

Please plan to arrive with enough time to be in the car-rider line before 7:50 AM. Arriving a few minutes earlier helps your child start the day calmly, safely, and on time for instruction.

🚙 PM DISMISSAL — BLUE CAR TAGS ARE REQUIRED!

Every parent/guardian picking up a student in the afternoon must have their blue car tag displayed — even if our staff knows who you are.

This is an important part of our school safety plan, and we must follow it consistently for every family.

No blue car tag = no student dismissal through the car line.

If you do not have your tag, you will need to park, come into the school, and present a photo ID before your child can be released.

🚗 NEED HELP BUCKLING?

If your child needs assistance buckling their seatbelt, please do not get out of your vehicle while you are in the active dismissal line. Once your child is safely inside your vehicle, please pull all the way forward past the mailbox and into the bus loop before stopping. You may then safely get out and assist your child with their seatbelt.

Keeping vehicles moving in the loading area helps us avoid backups and, most importantly, keeps students, staff, and families safe.

PM BUS LOOP

We know mornings and afternoons can be busy, and we appreciate everyone doing their part. These small steps make a BIG difference in keeping our Blue Jays safe, protecting instructional time, and getting everyone where they need to be as efficiently as possible.

💙 Thank you for partnering with us to keep safety first and every minute of learning counting!
