The Excellence in Education event, held in conjunction with National Teacher Appreciation Day, honored 42 outstanding educators from across Alamance County. Nominees represented all 38 Alamance-Burlington schools, Alamance Community College, and local independent schools. The event began with a reception followed by a celebration of each honoree and the announcement of the district’s top teacher, who will now advance to compete for the North Carolina Teacher of the Year title at the regional level.
