The Alamance-Burlington School System is pleased to announce the appointment of Hilary Bunch-Johnson to the assistant principal position at E.M. Holt Elementary School. Ms. Bunch-Johnson's extensive background in special education and proven leadership capabilities position her to make significant contributions to the school's educational mission.
Ms. Bunch-Johnson's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Music Education from Mars Hill University and a Master's degree in Special Education from Liberty University. Her professional career in education began as a substitute teacher and Exceptional Children paraprofessional, where she identified her passion for supporting students with disabilities and subsequently obtained licensure in special education.
Throughout her eleven-year career in elementary education, Ms. Bunch-Johnson has specialized in serving students who receive instruction through the North Carolina Extended Content Standards. Her demonstrated excellence in inclusive education practices and instructional delivery led to her selection as EC Program Facilitator for Elementary Adapted Curriculum Classrooms, a role in which she provided comprehensive professional development, coaching support, and district-wide program coordination.
Ms. Bunch-Johnson recently completed her Master of School Administration through the North Carolina Principal Fellows Program at North Carolina State University. Her leadership preparation included a full-time administrative internship at E.M. Yoder Elementary School, where she gained practical experience in school administration, instructional leadership, and the implementation of student-centered educational initiatives.
