Due to continued hazardous road conditions, we will transition to a Remote Learning Day on Tuesday, January 27. This means all schools and facilities will be closed for students and staff. Students should work on their remote learning assignments. No athletics or afterschool activities. Remote Learning Days are flexible school days where students work at their own pace on posted assignments, also known as asynchronous work. While there are no required live classes, teachers are available during optional office hours if students have questions. Students are expected to complete all activities and reach out to their teachers if they need assistance. Work is due within five days of returning to school. Our AWE PTO is hosting a student-only Winter Snowflake Dance next week, on 1/30/26. This event will be open to grades K through 5th grade. Free admission for all K-5 students.

Snacks will be available for purchase. A special dance bundle is available for purchase for $5.00. Dance bundle includes snack, drink, and craft/glow stick. Must pre-pay for the Dance Bundle option by 1/23/26.
Prepayment for Dance Bundle can be done via Pay Pal, Square or Square Space or you can send $5 cash in for dance bundle

Limited snacks will also be available for sale during the event.

Vision Screenings Coming Up Soon--3rd/5th grade
Our school nurse will begin conducting mass vision screenings for 3rd and 5th-grade students beginning Friday, January 16th. If you do not wish for your student to participate in the screening, you must send a written notification to your student's teacher or the school nurse by Friday, January 16th at 8:00 am. If written notification is not received by the date/time your student will be screened.
