📚 Alamance County Public Libraries (ACPL) are holding an art contest for a new ACPL Connect card! All artwork will be judged based on creativity, design, and if it meets the theme: 📚📖“Why do you love the library?” 📚📖
⭐Come see Mrs. Webb for a paper copy of the form!
⭐All submissions must be submitted as a hard copy to Mrs. Webb by November 14!
⭐ Mrs. Webb will choose the top three submissions from AWE. One from Kindergarten/1st grade, one from 2nd/3rd grade, one from 4th/5th grade.
⭐Then, out of all the designs sent in to Alamance County Public Libraries, four winners will be selected overall, to win a grand prize from Alamance County Public Libraries.

Did you know that October is National Bullying Prevention Month? Unity Day is the central day of this month, and it’s coming up tomorrow, 10/22. First, wear orange; Your teachers and staff will, too. Extra house point if you participate! The most important thing to remember is that we are celebrating kindness, acceptance, and inclusion tomorrow. Every day is a new opportunity to wake up and ask yourself, how am I going to be kind today? How am I going to include others in my games or at lunch today? How can I show others that they are wonderful just the way they are? That’s what Unity Day is all about. See you in your orange tomorrow!

TOMORROW: Thursday, October 9th, is a Teacher Workday. There will be no school for students. We do have school on Friday.
TOMORROW: Wednesday, October 8th, is our PTO Movie Night in the courtyard. We hope you will join us. The movie will start at 6, and we will begin selling concessions a little beforehand. The rain date is Friday, October 17th.
TOMORROW: Tuesday, October 7th, is Picture Day with Legacy Studios. Students will bring home a QR code with ordering information on Tuesday afternoon, allowing you to preview the pictures before placing your order.

Remember, we are a standards-based grading school, so only the standards taught so far will be showcased in Infinite Campus.

We’ve purchased two new storage sheds to place near the playgrounds for balls and other equipment, and now we need a few extra hands to assemble them. A volunteer has graciously agreed to lead the project, but he’ll need some additional manpower.
