Good Evening Graham High School Families, this is Jennifer Lackey, Assistant Principal, with your weekly announcements. Prom tickets are still on sale and can be purchased online. Visit our website for the link. Prices are $50 dollars for a single ticket and $80 dollars for couples. The actual date for prom is April 27th. Any young lady who needs assistance with getting a prom dress, please see Ms. Lackey. Parents, report cards went home last week. If you did not receive your student’s report card, please contact the school. We will have our School Leadership Team Meeting tomorrow, Monday, April 15th at 3:50 in the media center. This week in Athletics: Monday, April 15th - Softball will host Bartlett Yancy at 5:00 and Soccer will travel to Seaforth game time is 6:00. Tuesday, April 16th - Softball will host Seaforth at 5:00. Wednesday, April 17th - Baseball will host Northwood at 6pm and Track will travel to Cummings for their track meet. Thursday - April 18th- Soccer will travel to Southeast. Game time is 6:00 and Softball will travel to North Moore. Game time 6:00. Friday- April 19th- Baseball will travel to Southeast. Game time is 4:30. Please come out and support Graham Athletics. Evening Academy continues to operate Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 in the media center. Please see Ms. Noland for questions. This wraps up your weekly announcements. Graham High School would like to recognize our 5 students who were accepted into the Elon Scholars program. What is the Elon Academy? The Elon Academy is a college access and success program for academically promising high school students in Alamance County who have financial need and/or no family history of college. The year-round program combines three intensive three-week residential experiences at Elon University in the summers prior to the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades with a variety of academic enrichment activities during the school year. Support continues through a student’s college years.

Good Evening Graham High School Families… Come Join Us Face to Face… We will host our Quarter 3 Face to Face in the Cafeteria this Wednesday, April 10th. Report cards will be distributed and food will be served. Teachers will be available to discuss academic concerns and progress in classes. Assistance accessing PowerSchool Parent Portal will be available. There will also be Mental Health and Wellness Resources as well as an opportunity for you to Join our School Community and Be Heard by joining PTO. Again, this is Wednesday, April 10th from 5:00-7:00. We will see you there!

Good afternoon GHS families. Here are your announcements for the week ahead. Monday will be a regular school day. We ask everyone to caution themselves and follow the safety guidance during the eclipse that will take place. On Wed. April 10th (5-7pm). GHS will host a Face-2-Face night. This will be our last schoolwide parent engagement event of the school year. Students and families will be able to pick up their report cards. Learn about PowerSchool usage, community and school involvement initiatives. A snack will be provided as well. GHS Prom will take place on 4/27 at the Elon Community Center on the campus of Elon University, from 8pm-12am. Tickets are now $50 as a single and $80 for a couple. Online ticket sales will close on April 19th. Any young lady that is a junior or senior that is in need of a prom dress can report to AP Lackey's office in the Fine Arts building, during 1st and 2nd lunch on Monday. Those students that have 3rd and 4th lunch, can report on Tuesday. Friday April 12th seniors who signed up for the Senior Trip will head to Carowinds. Congrats to Khadejah Vaughn and Arianna Diaz Hernandez on being recognized as the Superintendent’s Award of Excellence recipients for GHS. This award recognizes students who exemplifies the concept of “an involved, scholarly citizen” and who achieved excellence in the areas of scholarship, citizenship, and involvement.

Graham High School Administration would like to thank Men's Wearhouse for fitting our students in preparation for their Junior/Senior Prom. They were able to measure over thirty students. Thank you once again! Remember, Prom tickets can be purchased through OSP. Ticket prices are $40 for a single ticket and $70 for a couple. Prices are subject to change after April 1st so buy your tickets early!

Attention Seniors and Parents, We will host a Financial Aid Workshop in the media center on Tuesday, March 26th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. If you are planning to attend a two year or four year college or university next school year, you are required to complete a FAFSA application. This workshop will be a working session. Seniors and parents, bring your Chromebook and W2 tax information so you can complete and submit your FAFSA application. Translators will be present, food will be provided, and Alamance Community College Finance Officers will offer support throughout the night.

Graham High's Public Safety students had an insightful courthouse visit today! A huge thank you to Judge Hanford for welcoming us to Alamance Superior Court, allowing us to observe trials, providing a behind-the-scenes tour, and imparting valuable wisdom. #ABSSCommunity
