
NCCU is currently offering a virtual option for students to earn a stipend this summer for those who aren't able to attend in-person. NCCU is offering workshops Monday-Friday at 10am and 2pm (Students are only required to attend 1 each day).
Students who attend atleast 10 sessions will have the opportunity to go on a trip to Carowinds with us on August 3rd!

Gizmos is an interactive, inquiry-based STEM and Science simulation program designed to engage students in science. It allows students to explore concepts, analyze data, and dive deeper into topics that might not be possible in a traditional science classroom. We use Gizmos in grades 5-12 here in ABSS.


Congratulations to Mahi. She received the Principal’s Choice Award at the GHS Art Award show. Congratulations to you Mahi.



Congratulations to Malaya. She was accepted into the Power of Dreams cohort. Malaya will have the chance to intern with some of the top fashion designer companies, when she arrives on campus at N.C. A&T for the fall. Super proud moment.

Happy Pride Month


NCCU Trio Upward Bound Program will hold their summer academy orientation on June 12th at 6 PM in the GHS Media Center. Please scan the QR code, for more information.


Congratulations to the 1st graduating class with NCCU’s TRIO Upward Bound program. S. Harris, M. Banks and A. Diaz Hernandez. All of these students have been accepted into 4-year universities. GHS is proud of your accomplishments.


Students in the arts program created a mural to go up, inside the Media Center. Thank you Dr. O and all the amazing students that put so much time and effort into the mural.





Students in the CTE department had to do their best version of Shark Tank. Students had to pitch their business idea. Great job Ms. Hunt. GHS mission envisions our students are Employed, Enlisted, Enrolled or Entrepreneurs when the leave GHS.

Congratulations to Mr. McCook. One of ABSS Top Gizmos winners! Mr. McCook received this district level honor today. Ms. Bowers stopped by to celebrate the work that Mr. McCook has done to support science in ABSS.


Thursday night the GHS performing arts dancers put on a show. Congratulations ladies for all of your hard work. Special thanks to all the seniors. Thank you Ms. D Johnson for all you do with our ladies.




Thursday students from GHS’s Art and pottery classes, had their work displayed in the Auditorium Lobby. Congratulations to all who received an award. GHS has talent walking the halls. Thank you Ms. Hein and Dr. O for organizing this showcase.









Last week GHS seniors took one last walk through the hallways of N. Graham, S. Graham and Haw River Elementary. We hope these memories will inspire our future Red Devils to strive for greatness.






Good Evening Graham High School Seniors and Parents, this is Jennifer Lackey, Assistant Principal, with important reminders.
Tomorrow we will have Senior Awards Day Practice. All seniors should report to the Little Gym at 10:15.
Decision Day will begin at 2:45 in the cafeteria. Only seniors who completed the Senior Exit Survey can attend.
Thursday is the Senior Awards Ceremony beginning at 9:00 in the auditorium. Parents are invited and highly encouraged to attend. Seniors should report to the Little Gym at 8:30 for line up. You must wear your cap and gown. Please see email from Ms. Lackey for dress code.
Senior participating in the Elementary Walks, report to the bus loop at 1:15. Permission slips are due tomorrow. Students who signed up received an email from Ms. Lackey.
Teacher Made Exams begin next week. All seniors must take their final exams to successfully complete their classes.
Senior Grades are Due Monday, June 3rd. Please communicate with your teachers regarding the due date for assignments to be turned in.
All chromebooks and chargers should be returned to the media center after you complete your last exam. You will not receive your graduation tickets if your chromebook is not returned.
