Good afternoon. We hope everyone had a great weekend. We would like to remind everyone that this week is a short week. School will be in session on Monday and Tuesday. Thank you to Ms. Carotta and the National Honor Society students for organizing the blood drive that took place on Friday. GHS had an amazing turnout.
Please join SGA and FCCLA clubs in a Thanksgiving Food Drive in order to provide meals to families in need. The clubs are collecting canned food and boxed foods until Tuesday, Nov 21, 2023. Donations can be dropped off in B1 or the front office.
Tuesday evening the GHS PTO will host their monthly meeting at 5:30 PM in the Media Center. All are welcome to join us.

Juniors and Seniors!! Do you have skills? Will those skills help you in the areas of electronics, mechanical engineering, technology, or robotics? Are you interested in being paid to finish high school and attend ACC? Would a guaranteed job after high school be helpful to you? If the answer to any or all of these questions is YES, come to the Career Accelerator Program Information Session where you can be a student apprentice and earn money. This information session will be held for parents and students on November 15th at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium. Student Apprentices are able to earn money on the job as soon as they start the apprenticeship program while also taking college classes at no cost. In fact, students actually get paid for time spent in class. See how you can get a jump start on a promising career, a college degree, and financial stability. The blood drive is open to the entire community, not just students and staff. They will have three bloodmobiles located in the student parking lot so we do not have to worry about the public in the school buildings.
PGC Peer Group Connections
This is an organization is used to increase the connections with peers, students and teachers. GHS PGC student leaders host events to improve the positive interactions with the school community.

The Graham High School PTO is celebrating 1 year of community and support! Board chair Sandy Ellington-Graves has been instrumental in getting the PTO running. To honor her strength and leadership, they presented Sandy with a pink wreath to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Superintendent Dr. Butler joined the celebration and congratulated the PTO on bringing families together and making a difference for Graham students. After a successful first year, the PTO is looking forward to continuing to build community and support Graham High! #ABSSCommunity

Here are the announcements for the week ahead. Don't forget that the ABSS Family University night will take place tomorrow at 5:30 PM. Please come out and see how ABSS can continue connecting with our community.
PTO will meet on Tuesday @ 5:30 in the Auditorium Lobby. Please come out and wear pink in support of Breast Cancer awareness. During this meeting we will also discuss more Title 1 initiatives. There will be a mandatory NCHSAA Parent meeting on Tuesday October 17th at 6:00pm in the Graham High School Cafeteria for all athletes who are interested in playing a winter sport this year.
Please be advised that our bus drivers and transportation department will be going through the process of verifying routes, riders, and buses this week.
Any GHS students that are interested in future driver's ed classes, please have them fill this interest form out. Driver Education Class Interest Form
This weeks athletic matchups. GHS football will take on Bartlett Yancey HS, Monday at 6PM. Tuesday Soccer will take on Northwood HS at 6PM. Wednesday the soccer team will travel to North Moore for a 6PM showdown. Finally, GHS football will travel to Southeast Alamance HS for a Friday Night bout, at 7:30 PM.
