Mary Beth Chandler is the principal of Highland Elementary. This will be her second year as the principal, but her sixth year in administration. Prior to becoming a principal, she was an assistant principal, an interventionists, as well as a classroom teacher all in Alamance-Burlington Schools. Ms. Chandler is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
She has a passion for creating a school environment that fosters learning for all students through coaching and providing leadership opportunities. Ms. Chandler is working to build a learning environment for all students to succeed and grow in.
