Mr. Clean has nothing on this crew! Over 100 staff from MFM Industries have been working throughout the summer to clean our schools from top to bottom, including washing and waxing the floors, as seen here at Southeast Alamance High School and Woodlawn Middle School. We appreciate their hard work in preparing our buildings for the first day of school!

Celebrating Excellence in ABSS! Congratulations to our amazing students and staff recognized at last night's Board of Education meeting: Southeast Alamance's Ava Garner and Jesus Cruz received Silver Keys in the 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards! Ava's piece "Connected Creation" explores humanity's place in the universe, while Jesus's "Epsum" portrays people as shadowy figures, comparing them to bugs under an upturned rock. Southern Alamance freshman Madisyn Upton made an incredible state championship debut, winning both the 200 IM (with a lifetime best of 2:08.38) and the 100 butterfly at the NCHSAA 3-A State Championship! She's now a two-time State Swimming Champion! DeAnna Tyson, 7th Grade Math Teacher at Western Middle School, was honored as a North Carolina Beginning Teacher of the Year Finalist! She received a plaque from the NC Center for Advancement in Teaching and a $250 check from Empower. Good luck in the state competition, Ms. Tyson!
