WA Women's Golf won the Conference Match at Mill Creek on Monday!

"Tea with Thompson" will also include a Senior Parent Info Night led by Counselors Angel Murray Cotton and Mary Oney, from 5:30-6:30. They will focus on 3 MAIN TOPICS: organization/goal setting, timelines, and financial aid. By the end, parents and students will walk away feeling more prepared to tackle the college application process!

Breydan Gorham, 2015 Graduate of Western Alamance HS, confirms attendance at "Tea with Thompson". Gorham played baseball at App State and UNCW. He is now the Assistant Coach at NC A&T.

September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Our Western High School Volleyball Team granted the wish of a special young girl in our community by hosting a princess dance before their game this week. Truly and amazing night! The team also donated money to brain cancer research on her behalf. #ABSSCommunity

Our students are pretty competitive and had a fun time with the school wide Rock, Paper, and Scissors tournament. Homerooms winners from Thursday competed for the championship this last Friday.

We have terrific opportunities in Career and Technical Education here at Western and in ABSS. Here are just a few pictures of our students beginning to transform the landscape area in the quad as well as Carpentry I students preparing for their next project.




Our school started a Warrior Grind Coffee Cart last year. Ms. Bengel applied for the Tanger Outlets Kids grant and Western High School was a winner. Our school received $1000.00 to support this project.

Congratulations to Jordan Lambert for being selected as the Farm Bureau Western Alamance Player of the Week! Jordan graded out of both sides of the ball. Jordan was a leader on defense and offense with 4 tackles and 3 domination blocks in their win against Eastern Guilford.

Attention Class of 2023 | Graduation Date is set to take place at Elon University on 6/9/2023 at 6:30 pm. | More details will be shared in the spring as we move closer to this date.

NHS invitations to apply were emailed to academically eligible Jrs and Srs today. To be eligible, a student must have an unweighted GPA 3.5 or higher, and a weighted GPA 3.85 or higher. If a Jr or Sr meets these criteria and did not receive an email, please let Mr. Johnson know.

Alamance County College Fair will take place on September 12, 2022, at Alamance Community College. Seniors, if you are interested in going please email school counselor Mary Oney at mary_oney@abss.k12.nc.us by Wednesday September 7, 2022.

Congratulations for Chazz May for being selected as the Farm Bureau Western Alamance Player of the Week! Chazz lead the Warrior defense with 13 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and a fumble recovery against Cummings last week.

Congratulations to Kevion Hudson who was selected as the Farm Bureau Western Alamance Player of the Week! Kevion lead the Warrior backfield with 89 rushing yards and 1 TD against Reidsville last week. He also had 2 tackles and a QB hurry.
