We would like to wish Mrs. Heather Simpson a Happy Librarian Day!!!
She does so much at Western. Co-Teach a class, drive a bus, and of course be a Librarian.

We are excited to welcome anyone looking to start a new career in ABSS. Many positions are available. Tomorrow March 21 is Down syndrome awareness day! We ask that everyone Rock you Socks!!!! Your socks can be long, wacky tacky, colorful, mismatched, etc. Please take pictures of your socks with friends, family, teachers, other students etc and send to Mr. Artis.
We have 4 students who have Down Syndrome on Western’s Campus. They are part of what I call the “D3 Crew”!! The students are Cole Williams, Rachel Levy, Gage Wilson, and Ashley Guardado-Guevara. Big news for the Western Alamance High School Jazz Orchestra! 🏆 At the North Carolina Regional Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival this weekend, WAJO was named the Outstanding High School Jazz Band and tied for Best Overall Big Band. 🎷🥁

Under the leadership of Mr. Sean Lucier, our choral group "FREQUENCY" is raising money for their trip to New Jersey to compete in the international championship of High School A Cappella. 🌟 Rising and current high school students - it's almost time to register for classes! Do you truly know all the opportunities available to you? How about your pathway to graduation and beyond? This past weekend, three talented musicians - Jacob Greene from Southern, Harry Jefferson from Western, and Kalyn Faille from Williams - participated in the Central Region Clinic held at Panther Creek High School in Cary. They had the opportunity to work with acclaimed trumpeter Alphonso Horne. We're proud of these students for being selected for this prestigious event!




Western Alamance Middle School had some special guests today! Several students from the Western Alamance High School Science Club led labs for 8th-graders, teaching biology, robotics, and coding activities that connect science and math. 🧪🔬⚙️
A huge thank you to Ms. Baumgarner for organizing this awesome visit and to the WAHS students for sharing your impressive knowledge and talents! 🙌

Several sessions will also be available in Spanish (Algunas sesiones también estarán disponibles en español.) Childcare will be available for children from Pre-K to 5th grade, so the whole family can participate. The Family University is a great chance to get helpful information while connecting with other families and teachers.
