We are excited to announce that Eastern will be offering a Summer Bridge Program to welcome our incoming freshman class. The Summer Bridge Program is designed to help students successfully transition from middle to high school. Data shows that students that have a successful freshman year are much more likely to graduate from high school on time and prepared for their future.
Summer Bridge students will participate in a variety of activities to prepare them for their freshman year. Some of the activities that students will be involved in are listed below.
- Finding their way around campus, so that students know where their classes are located.
- Discover important school resources and how to access them.
- Build relationships with their peers as well as school staff.
- Here about what to expect in high school from current junior and seniors.
- Learn about opportunities within ABSS.
- Hear from a variety of guest speakers.
- Research post-secondary opportunities.
- Set goals for their freshman year.
