Help us congratulate the EAHS Marching Eagles! 🦅 At the 29th Annual Viking Classic, the Marching Eagles earned the following placements: Brianna Saunders - Drum Major 1st place overall. General effect - 2nd place overall. Visual ensemble - 2nd place overall. Class 2A band - 2nd place overall. Music - 2nd place in class. Marching - 2nd place in class.

Congratulations to the Walter Williams HS Band on placing second overall in the 3A Fall Festival Band Competition this weekend at NW Guilford High School. The band also earned: 1st place percussion, 1st place color guard, 2nd visual effects, and 2nd place drum major.

ABSS Alert: In an effort to be transparent with our community, we are letting you know some threatening graffiti was found on the bathroom wall at Graham Middle today. We have no reason to believe the threat of violence is credible. We have requested additional law enforcement on the campus as a precaution. As always the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

To take learning beyond the classroom, eighth grade students at Western Middle created a "wax museum" of famous people from Spanish-speaking countries. After a month of research, they developed a speech to summarize the person's life, along with a visual representation. ABSS Virtual School senior Emily Mathews, who plays on the Eastern High Team, shoots a 6 under par 66 today in the final round of the NCHSAA State Championships to win her 3rd straight state title. She will be playing golf next year at Virginia Tech. Congratulations, Emily!
