Mark your calendars - Fall School Picture Day is coming up on October 24!
This week, fourth-grade students from B. Everett Jordan, Highland, and Haw River Elementary are on the trails, thanks to Haw River Assembly. They have an opportunity to observe insects, birds, many species of plant life, and anything else that happens to be along the trail or riverbanks. Local experts lead groups in pottery, art, lessons on runoff and river ecosystems, identifying animals by their characteristics, and much more. Students filled the cafeteria & gym this afternoon to watch the return of Highland Book Battle! It was fun & exciting watching teams compete against each other by answering questions about books they have read. Shout out to all the Book Battle participants & their coaches! 📚💥
Highland’s 2022-2023 Yearbooks have arrived! If you pre-ordered a book from the Herff Jones website, it will be sent home with your student on Tuesday, June 6. If you did not pre-order, but are interested in purchasing a book, there are a few extra books available on a first come, first served basis. The cost is $25 and may be paid with cash or check to the school office staff.
