ABSS Early College students participated in a week-long "Hunger Games" challenge hosted by the Key Club to collect canned food for a local food pantry. Students competed within their "districts" or homerooms and brought in a record-breaking 1044 cans! ABSS Alert: Williams High School is on lockdown as a precaution at this time after administrators received a report of a possible gun on campus. Law enforcement is on scene and questioning students. All students are safe at this time. This is just a precaution while the incident is investigated.

The Be Pro Be Proud truck visited Southern Middle School today to introduce technical careers through virtual reality experiences. Eighth-graders learned to repair utility lines and operate heavy equipment, connecting them to resources and jobs in construction, manufacturing, transportation, and utilities. Let the recess begin! After serving the #ABSSCommunity for over 16 years, Newlin Elementary Cafeteria Manager Barbara Hunter is hanging up her apron. Barbara started working in ABSS over 29 years ago and has been a wonderful manager and lunch lady to our students and staff throughout the years. She’s managed the day to day operations of the cafeteria, as well as coordinated efforts to ensure that no child went hungry during the COVID pandemic. Congratulations on your retirement Ms. Hunter!
