We regret that, due to the current budget constraints for ABSS, we need to cancel our previously-announced elementary summer school opportunities for Rising Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade students and for our high school students. We will continue to have the state-mandated Read to Achieve summer school for current second and third grade students who have already been invited to attend. The summer school classes for second and third graders will continue as planned for July 23 through August 8. ABSS will host previously-announced CTE summer camp opportunities as scheduled.

Congratulations to Annie Goldberg, counselor at Broadview Middle School, on winning a $500 grant from the NCAE Student Services Division! 🎉 With this grant, Annie created elementary and secondary counseling crisis tool kits to help our district be better prepared in the event of a crisis. The kits contain essential materials for our crisis response team to use at any location, allowing them to serve more efficiently. Meredith Draughn, ABSS Lead Counselor, had this to say about Annie: "Annie is the ultimate example of a highly qualified, masters level professional school counselor. She sees needs in both her school and our district and works to meet them in creative and effective ways. She is dedicated to her students, school and community and we are lucky to have her as part of our ABSS counseling family!"
