E.M. Holt Elementary School is pleased to announce the appointment of Hilary Bunch-Johnson to our administrative team. Ms. Bunch-Johnson brings a wealth of educational experience and a demonstrated commitment to student achievement that will strengthen our school community.
Ms. Bunch-Johnson holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Mars Hill University and a Master's degree in Special Education from Liberty University. Her educational journey began as a substitute teacher and Exceptional Children paraprofessional, where she discovered her calling to support students with disabilities and pursued specialized training in special education.
Over the course of eleven years in elementary education, Ms. Bunch-Johnson has dedicated herself to serving students who receive instruction through the North Carolina Extended Content Standards. Her expertise in inclusive education and commitment to instructional excellence led to her advancement as EC Program Facilitator for Elementary Adapted Curriculum Classrooms, where she provided professional development, coaching, and district-wide support services.
Most recently, Ms. Bunch-Johnson completed her Master of School Administration through the North Carolina Principal Fellows Program at North Carolina State University. As part of her comprehensive leadership preparation, she served her administrative internship at E.M. Yoder Elementary School, gaining valuable hands-on experience in school leadership, instructional support, and student-centered initiatives.
