Get ready to celebrate the magic of books and reading! Read Across America Week runs from March 2nd through March 6th, and we have a fantastic lineup of events to inspire our students. We are especially excited to kick off the week on Monday with a visit from Rotary Reads, where every student will enjoy a storyteller experience and take home a brand-new book of their own!
To make the week even more memorable, students are invited to participate in our daily themed dress-up days:
Monday, March 2nd: Dr. Seuss Day
Dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character.
Tuesday, March 3rd: Reading Helps You Grow
Show off your garden gear, wear floral prints or anything green.
Wednesday, March 4th: Chill Out and Read
Wear snowmen, snowflakes, polar animals or white to stay cool while we enjoy a visit from Kona Ice.
Thursday, March 5th: Reading Exercises Your Brain Come to school in your favorite athletic clothing or sportswear.
Friday, March 6th: Reading Gives You Superpowers Finish the week strong by dressing up as your favorite superhero!
