Good Afternoon Wildcat Families,
We want to remind everyone of the importance of being at school each and every day. Remember if your child is out that you need to submit an absence note using the link on the school website. All students should be in class by 7:50.
4th and 5th grade choir participants will have practice on Monday and Wednesday mornings this week.
The Read-A-Thon starts tomorrow. We are going to kick off our first day with some Silent Uninterrupted Reading for Fun. All students should bring a beach towel, some sunglasses, and a good book or two. Students will get to read on the big field at 1:45 and we will use these minutes for Read-A-Thon time.
April is Autism Awareness month. Wear blue on Wednesday for Autism Awareness.
Wednesday, April 22nd is Administrative Professionals Day. Please join us in honoring Mrs. Bradshaw, Mrs. Brasher, and Mrs. Graves for their hard work and dedication.
On Wednesday, April 22nd our first grade students will go on their field trip to the Durham Museum of Life and Science.
Kindergarten Open House is Thursday, April 23rd from 4-6pm for incoming kindergarten students.
On Friday, April 24th we will have Hometown Hero Day.
Friday, April 24th we will have the 5th Grade Dance from 6:30-8:30.
General Reminders
As a reminder if you need to change your child’s transportation information for the day, please be sure to complete the transportation change form on the school website prior to 2pm.
For parents and visitors coming to have lunch please remember that outside food and drinks are not permitted in the cafeteria.
Please make sure to pay your child’s lunch balance. You can pay online at https://www.k12paymentcenter.com/
If you would like to donate to help with our school lunch debt we now have a fundraising page. This page is dedicated specifically to our school, and 100% of the donations will go directly back to our school to help eliminate school lunch debt. Looking ahead to the next few weeks:
PTO Movie Night is coming up on Friday, May 1st. Gates will open at 7:30 and the movie will begin at 8:30.
